Join us for a two-day workshop where we will create a 50 x 75cm oil painting using seasonal produce from the farm as our subject.
Paint at an easel alongside Stacey as she takes you through the steps of building up an oil painting in layers. Quality materials and a canvas will be provided so you can have the time and space to slow down and dive deep into the craft of painting with an experienced instructor. This will be a small friendly group and we will work on the paintings together step-by-step with lots of guidance. The aim will be for you to have a finished painting to take home. All levels welcome, including absolute beginners.
Day One : introduction, set up the still life, lay the foundations of your painting.
Day Two : seeing your subject, mixing and applying colour, creating lively brush marks, final details.
Coffee, tea and a delicious vegetarian lunch each day will be provided.

Stacey Gledhill Bio: Stacey Gledhill is a New Zealand-born painter based in Oxford, UK. In her work she explores human connection to landscape, nature, light, and moments of daily contemplation through thoughtful attention.
In 2010 Gledhill moved to the UK and pursued an art education at London Fine Art Studios, where she gained four years of formal training in painting and drawing within the figurative tradition. She has exhibited with the Federation of British Artists, at the Mall Galleries in London, and at Leighton House Museum. Gledhill has been featured in Artists and Illustrators magazine (Oct 2021) and in 2019 she was shortlisted for the Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize. Since 2021 she has been a visiting painting tutor at Balliol College, Oxford University teaching students the craft of oil painting.
