Worton’s stunning seasonal borders, vegetable plots, orchards, glasshouses, interiors and landscape views offer a unique menu of inspiration for creative expression through observational drawing with a seasonal flavour, combined with delicious cake and coffee!

Join us for this taster drawing afternoon, a seasonal creative aperitif in seeing and drawing, led by experienced artist tutor Rachel Woods. Suitable for beginners and skilled enthusiasts. Spaces are limited to 12 people ensuring the maximum tuition and support for each participant.

Please bring a notebook and pen, comfortable outdoor shoes plus a bag to carry an A5 pack of art materials and an A3 drawing board, both of which will be provided. Bring a waterproof and umbrella – just in case!

Rachel Woods – Tutor:

Professional artist, educator, facilitator and author. 

BA Drawing and Paintin (Edinburgh College of Art), MA in History of Art (Edinburgh University), PGCE Art (Cambridge University).

Experienced in teaching art with all ages, as well as nurturing wellbeing through therapeutic and reflective creativity.

Rachel’s own art disciplines include drawing, painting and stone carving. She exhibits regularly and works to commission.

Ways of Seeing Drawing Courses and workshops have been run successfully over several decades with individuals of all ages, groups and families, in museums, galleries, historic houses, working mills, churches, gardens, private homes, woodlands and open fields across the UK, as well as abroad.
