Beautiful flowers again this week. It may be a few weeks till we have the full splendour of our Dahlias but in the meantime we have an array of beautiful flowers available as small posies or larger bouquets. You can order online, or you can collect in the shop. If we don’t have something to your taste already picked, just let us know what you’re after and we’ll get some flowers picked while you wait.
As you will know if you’ve visited the farm over the last few weeks, the changeable weather doesn’t seem to be doing our gardens any harm at all. Flowers, fruits and vegetables are all growing well – produce is looking good again for this week with plentiful Artichokes, French Beans, Turnips, Broad Beans, Brokali, Romanesco Cauliflowers, Cabbages, Parsley, Lettuce, Carrots and Beetroots.
Our fish supply from Cornwall also remains very good – we will have more Cock Crabs and Lobsters, Skate, Plaice, Palourde Clams, Scallops and Squid. All will be available as delicious dishes in the restaurant or as wet fish from the shop.
Finally, we were pleasantly surprised this week to hear that we have been short-listed by Muddy Stilettos as a finalist in their Farm Shop/ Deli of the year awards. These prestigious awards aim to celebrate the local and original suppliers in each region of the UK. We may not be sure how we arrived on the shortlist, but we are certain what is needed to win the award – we need you, our customers, to visit their site to vote for us! If you would like to vote, please click on the link below.
The whole team here look forward to welcoming you this weekend in the shop, the restaurant or the gardens.
