To celebrate our new Wednesday opening, we are offering free coffee to anyone who visits the shop this Wednesday. We look forward to greeting you whether you come to buy something in the shop or to sample our new lunchtime takeaway service.
Following very positive feedback on our Meal in a Box offering last week, we are extending this service to cover not only Linguine Alla Vongole again, but also Thai Mussels, Scallops with Confit Garlic and, for the first time, Sourdough Pizza.
As per last week, we have included all the ingredients you need to re-create at home one of the dishes you may have eaten when visiting our restaurant. As well as the ingredients, most of the boxes include a bottle of carefully matched organic wine and, of course, a recipe card to guide you through the process.
This week’s new offering of ingredients for a sourdough pizza should be great fun to make and to eat – we may not be able to replicate the wood-fired oven from WKG but you do get a ball of our signature sourdough and enough toppings to make 4 pizzas!
As mentioned last week, our takeaway lunch menu is evolving through lockdown – this week’s menu is available below and focuses particularly on WKG Pork as we now have meat from 2 of our spring piglets available. Keen as we are to avoid waste of all kinds, we will be offering a 10% discount to anyone who brings their own jars, bags or boxes for their takeaway lunch.
