Paintings, sculptures, soundscapes and poetry – over 150 works inspired by the woods and fields and lanes of the countryside around the farm collected together for a weekend exhibition at Worton Hall. Do come along during the day tomorrow or Sunday to be inspired by the works of local artists, schoolchildren and others. The aim of the exhibition is twofold: firstly to raise awareness of the scale of the solar “power-station” planned for our beautiful countryside and secondly to create an archive of images and responses – the exhibition will subsequently be digitised – so that the countryside can later be restored. Whatever your views about the merits of the solar installation, do come along to witness some beautiful art and to engage in discussion about the scale of what’s proposed. Details of the event can be accessed by clicking on the image above.
Even closer to home, we are delighted to launch our Christmas menu for 2023 – the menu itself can be accessed by clicking here. Packed with delicious items, we have held the price at the 2022 levels. The menu will available throughout December for pre-order by the whole table.
We are also available for Christmas parties and functions – whether family or work related – throughout December. Indeed we will open especially for you! So if you are 12 plus people we will open the restaurant especially for you – on request, we could open any evening through December from 1st to 24th. We can serve from the Christmas menu or, indeed, devise a menu specially for you. Why not have a full Christmas banquet cooked by the team here – perhaps a Roast Heritage Turkey or one of our spectacular Roast Geese. Or, for some serious indulgence, why not have us cook a whole suckling pig for your party? If you are interested in a private function, do email us by clicking here
