Greetings again from a slightly frosty Worton and many thanks to all of you who made it out to say hello last weekend – particularly the brave souls who got here through the snow on Sunday! It doesn’t look like snow this weekend but it will definitely still be wintry! We’ll have lots of citrus again – blood oranges, pink grapefruit and clementines – together with lots of winter greens from the farm. Plenty of Worton’s Finest Cavolo Nero, Kale, Spinach and Chard!
From Cornwall, we will have Dover Sole, Scallops, Ray Wing and Pollack Fillets. Everything is due to arrive Thursday morning and will be available in the shop, for Click and Collect and for Delivery from Thursday afternoon onwards.
Thanks so much for all the suggestions of new cheeses we could stock when our supply of Dutch Farmhouse Goudas run out – after this week I will collate all the suggestions and share the list in this email. For the moment, we’re getting pretty low on the Goats Cheese but the other Dutch cheeses should hold out for a couple more weeks. Of course, for those who want to try something else, we already stock Westcombe Cheddar – perhaps the most delicious cheddar in the country – together with their equally appetising but slightly milder Caerphilly. Why not try a slice of Caerphilly with the sweet and spicy Eccles Cakes i’m making this week?
