A Cornucopia of Seafood to celebrate St Patrick’s Day and Mothering Sunday

For the first time this year, we have a  delivery of sparklingly fresh seafood arriving from Cornwall tomorrow morning.  Tomorrow is, of course, St Patrick’s Day and although our oysters are from Essex – Maldon Rock Oysters – not Ireland we felt that abundant seafood was the best way to celebrate Ireland’s patron saint.

Many of you have been asking when the seafood would return and we felt this weekend was the perfect time – a double celebration, perhaps, with St Patrick’s Day and Mothering Sunday coinciding for the first time in several years.  Whether or not you wish to celebrate these dates, do come and taste some fabulous fresh seafood.  We will have fresh, sweet Cornish Lobsters and Cock Crabs for the first time in many months and an abundance of plump, briny Malden Rocks.  All will be available for sale in the shop, online or in the restaurant.

From the farm this week, we have an increasing amount of home grown produce – the first of our pink, forced Rhubarb, beautifully scented tiny Muscari flowers, vibrant Stir Fry greens, Leeks, Kalettes and Aillettes.

Our full menu for the week is set out below – we look forward to greeting you in the shop or in the restaurant.
