So many beautiful flowers this week. We have a glorious selection of tulips from the glasshouses together, increasingly, with flowers from the cutting garden. Tulips, Anemones, Narcissi and Ranunculus – a full selection of our spring flowers – all available to buy online or in the shop.
On the food side we have at last come to the end of our bountiful 2022 apple harvest – the last Tarte Tatins are in the oven – no more till next autumn! But, marvellously, we have kept using our apples right up until this years apple blossoms are open – there will be continuity and new apples set! In the meantime, we have just taken a new delivery of Apple Juice from last year’s harvest so we have a fresh supply of single varietals – Newton’s Wonder, Elster, Catshead and Warners King.
More Middlewhite Pork available this week – some frozen meat if you want to cook at home – Legs, Shoulders and Belly. In the restaurant we have Sausages, Chops, Ham Hock and 24hr Roast Shoulder (Sunday Only).
We will be open again for evening sittings both early evening drinks (Aperitivos) and full dinner service on Saturday this week – why not join us for what looks as though it will be a warm and sunny evening. Tables are available in the glasshouse and, for the brave, outside in the garden.
