No certainties with English weather, but things seem to be set fair for this first holiday weekend of the year. The sun should be out, the wind is warm and from the South and we will be celebrating Easter with an extra day of opening on Easter Monday and our first live concert for over 2 years!
We are delighted to be welcoming back the Oxley Meier Project – Pete and Brad will play a wide range of Jazz guitar tunes ranging across styles and continents for their inspiration. Always an exciting evening, we look forward to welcoming back some old friends as well as meeting up with new faces. The evening will start with drinks at 7pm. Brad and Pete will then play two sets with an interval for some food and wine. Tickets, available by clicking here, include the cost of the concert, your first drink and a one-course dinner.
For the restaurant, I am delighted to announce that we have secured a new supply of lamb for the Easter weekend. After a long search we have decided to source lamb, hogget and mutton from Rose Dale’s Organic Farm a Chearsley near Aylesbury – Rose rears rare breed sheep on a certified Pasture for Life basis. In the first instance we have bought an Oxford Down lamb which will be served Slow Roasted with our own Purple Sprouting Broccoli this weekend.
We still have stunning and abundant tulips available in the shop and on-line this week as the focus moves from the glasshouse production to the open air varieties. Anyone eating in the glasshouse will have a wonderful view of the main tulip beds and if anything takes your fancy do let us know and we will pick you a bunch of your favourites.
We look forward to welcoming you to the farm again.
