Back to Click & Collect and Deliveries

All change again this week as the restaurant has to close for the next month..

Sad as this is, we are turning our thoughts to how we can improve the offer in the shop to ensure we can provide the best service throughout this crisis. I have included in this mail some of the team’s thoughts but we would be really excited to hear your ideas for what else we could do – any suggestions would be really welcome – please email us here.

We hope to be able to broaden what we sell to include dairy, a wider range of cheeses, cured meats and pates and perhaps pre-prepared meals. We will certainly be extending the alcohol offer so that you can buy our organic and natural beers, wines and ciders on-line. We also looking at the feasability of offering a take-away service. More on all these items over the next week or so.

In the first instance, we are excited to add another day’s shopping. From next week, the shop will be open on Wednesday to ensure as many people as possible are able to buy our wonderful, homegrown and organic fruits, vegetables, pickles, preserves, breads and cakes. We will be open from 10am till 4pm from Wednesday to Sunday for in person shopping or Click and Collect.

We will also be offering home deliveries between 4.30 and 7.30 from Wednesdays to Sundays. The service will be free for anyone in Yarnton or Cassington, charged at £10 for addresses within the Oxford ring road, £15 elsewhere to a distance of 5 miles and on a per mile basis for anywhere further afield. We are also happy to bundle deliveries together for a single charge so that if you and your neighbours wish to have deliveries on the same day, then we will only make one delivery charge. Delivery will be free within our zones for any order over £100.

In terms of our seafood this week, we again have the most delicious crabs, native Fal oysters and Cornish mussels. The weather in the channel has been terrible so no whitefish available – we hope things are better next week.

Finally, the Bakery will be upping production during lockdown to ensure we have enough fresh bread, croissants, cakes and quiches for everyone. Let us know by email if you don’t see your preferred cake or quiche on the website and with a 24hrs notice, we will always endeavour to make something for you!

We look forward to seeing you this weekend either on your doorstep, in the shop or in the Car Park for a contactless collection!
