Lots of beautiful blooms for the Easter weekend…

It may have been a particularly long wait this year (we normally have our first blooms ready for Mothering Sunday!) but our Tulips are in glorious bloom – glasshouse flowers now with the cutting garden flowers just starting. Not only Tulips but Narcissi, Anemones and the first Ranunculus are all in flower. We have beautiful bunches available on line and in the shop as well as fabulous table decorations in the restaurant.

A real surge in our own produce across the farm this week with Cime Di Rapa, Stir Fry Greens, Spring Onions, Aillettes, Lettuce, Coriander and Parsley. Also, with impeccable timing, our Ducks have started laying again after a winter break. Lots of duck eggs available for Easter both White from the Runner Ducks and Chalk Blue from our Cayugas. All delicious for eating and perfect for baking – their higher levels of Albumen mean they can give greater structure and bounce to cakes and, in particular, Meringues – the Pavlovas may be even larger this week!!

Still plenty of Middlewhite available – some frozen meat if you want to cook something special at home for this Bank Holiday weekend – Legs, Shoulders, Belly, Chops and Sausages. On the menu we have Sausages and 24hr Roast Shoulder (Sunday Only).

New Spring opening hours from this weekend – we are now open again for evening sittings both early evening drinks (Aperitivos) and full diner service on Friday and Saturdays throughout the spring and summer. We are also delighted to let you know that we will be open every Bank Holiday throughout the Summer – you can now book tables for any of the Bank Holiday Mondays through to August.
