Lots of fresh seafood from our new supplier down in Cornwall this week. We have wonderful Cock Crabs with huge claws bursting with white meat, deliciously tender Cuttlefish, plump Lemon Sole, Stone Bass and small sweet Mussels.
Such a delight to have found a reliable new supplier of high quality seafood – we hope to keep the shop and the restaurant supplied over the next months. Cooked Crabs, Lemon Sole, and Mussels are available as “wet fish” in the shop or as Click and Collect this weekend and all the fish are available in the restaurant. The highlights are the fantastic crabs – succulent, meaty and with a great flavour and the Mussels which we will be serving in a spicy Thai Sauce.
On the farm, the produce keeps coming! Mid-summer marks the last week of our fabulous Strawberries but the first harvesting of Blackcurrants and Raspberries, both Golden and Red. We also have the first Green Beans, Broad Beans, Cucumber, Khol Rabi and Courgette.
We are now firmly into our summer opening hours and will be serving Dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings through till the Autumn.
