Worton Organic Garden is close to Cassington village, about five miles north-west of Oxford. It’s an old market garden on the Worton Estate, which was taken over by David and Anneke Blake in 2015 and turned organic. Given its proximity to Chipping Norton — where former prime ministers, motoring presenters and ex-tabloid editors go to spend more time with their money — one might imagine it’s akin to posh Daylesford Organic Farm but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Worton is indeed beautiful but it’s also quirky and appealingly ramshackle.
