Our outdoor tulips are now in full bloom and presenting a fantastic view for anyone eating in the glasshouse or on the terrace. We will have this abundance for the next couple of weeks and then a slight hiatus before the flowers of full summer so its well worth visiting and, perhaps, taking a few home as well!
For those staying to eat, we have lots of delicious options again this week – starters are led by our Worton Grown Calcots and our juicy fresh-picked Radishes complemented by Sourdough Bruschetta combining courgettes with foraged wild garlic. Mains include our own Crown Prince Pumpkin in a Sri Lankan style curry, some succulent farmed Rabbits in a Mustard Sauce, Worton Saddleback Bacon Chops with Lentils and for Sunday we will be roasting a side of the Oxford Down Lamb for 18 hours in Celebration of the Greek Orthodox Easter! For desert, we have the return of our East End Cheesecake after a couple of months plus a delicious choice of ice-creams.
Looking forward to next weekend, we will be hosting the Mad Professor again. as my brother returns from Columbia to present another evening of Gastrophysics on Saturday 30th April. We are hoping he will be bearing new curiosities and insects for us to experiment with! Tickets include dinner, the talk and a signed copy of one of his books and are available by clicking here.
We look forward to welcoming you to the farm again this week..
