Christmas at last!

The Satsumas, Clementines and Oranges have arrived so Christmas must be just around the corner! Lots of lovely citrus this week including acerbic Seville oranges. We will be making Seville Orange Tart for the restaurant and the first of the season’s Marmalade for sale in the shop and online.

We have decided our Christmas opening dates and we are delighted to let you know that with the exception of Christmas Day itself, we will be open every day from Wednesday 22nd December through to and including Saturday 1st January. Whether you are joining us for a pre Christmas roast, a curry on Boxing Day, brunch to blow away post party cobwebs or a banquet on New Year’s Eve, we look forward to greeting you at the farm over the festive period.

As in previous years we will be fully stocked with Christmas fruit and vegetables together with lots of Christmas fancies and baked goods. You will be able to Click and Collect or order groceries for delivery from Weds 22nd to Friday 24th December. Ordering is now open for these dates and we hope to be able to meet all your needs for the festive period. Whether you want a Christmas Pudding, Sprouts, Stichelton Cheese, Sourdough Loaves or Mince Pies, we hope to have something for everyone!

New this year we also have Gift Vouchers available to buy from the online shop or at the farm. If you’re struggling with gift ideas, why not buy a voucher or two so that you or a loved one can have a wonderful meal in the New Year

No flat or white fish this week – given the serious storms blowing in from the West, the day boats have been struggling to get out in the Channel but we have the best of what is available. No Lobsters but fleshy, messy Hen Crabs, Monkfish and Squid together with a selection of delicious oily seasonal treats – we have Mackerel, Sardines and lovely Anchovies.which we we be serving “en Vinaigre” as a starter.

We look forward to welcoming you over the coming days
