Lots of Seafood up from Cornwall this week.

Despite some pretty rough waters in the Channel and generally poor markets in Cornwall, our friends at Flying Fish have favoured us this week.  We have a generous amount of fish and seafood on the board in the restaurant and available as wet fish in the Shop.

First up, we have plenty of the jauntily named “Disco” scallops.  Served pan-fried with our Confit Elephant Garlic, these are simply delicious. Perhaps Scallops as a starter followed by Squid braised in its own Ink and served on Crisped Polenta?  Or perhaps you prefer Razor Clam Escabeche followed by Cornish Hake on a bed of Beluga Lentils with Salsa Verde?  Or we do have lots of Salcombe Bay Mussels served Moules Mariners style – you choose!

Looking forward a week or two, we have our next Supper Club, the last of 2025, when we celebrate Thanksgiving leavened with a little “Gastrophysics”.  Our Mad Professor, Charles Spence, will return to explain the iconography of the Thanksgiving meal and to deconstruct some of its culinary tropes.
