Stunning Christmas Wreaths and Mulled Wine

Another Saturday evening and lots of festive cheer this week.

Following a very successful first opening last Saturday night, we look forward to welcoming more people for delicious food, a warm candlelit atmosphere and perhaps a glass or two of mulled wine! As per last week, we are open from 6pm with a second sitting at 8pm.

In the shop and online we will have lots of beautiful handmade wreaths available. All natural, no wires, plastic or glitter just vibrant seedheads, berries and branches from the farm – a world away from the commercial offerings and each one unique. Why not treat yourself or a loved one to something really special this weekend?

We also have some handmade candles from Mark Lynch, our beekeeper. Individually hand dipped with wax from our own hives, these special candles burn without dripping and last for a full 12 hours. Again a very special Christmas present from the farm.

In the restaurant, we continue to enjoy the wonderful fresh seafood from Cornwall – the star this week is day boat hake which will be part of the Goan Fish Curry – we will also have Crabs, Scallops and Oven Roasted Megrim Sole. Finally we have another batch of the exceptional Palourde clams – this week we will be serving them as they do in Lisbon – Almeijoas a Bulhao Pato. Steamed open in olive oil, wine, garlic and coriander and served with crusty sourdough to mop up the juices – this really is a taste of the sun to drive away the winter chill!
