A long Bank Holiday weekend, Aperitivos…

To celebrate the Bank Holiday weekend, and some more settled weather, we are re-launching our Aperitivo Hour this weekend.  Both tomorrow and Saturday, we will be serving cocktails and fizz in the early evening as, we hope, the light of the westering sun is filtering through the voluptuous greens of the cottage garden outside the library.

We will, of course be open for Aperitivos between 4 and 6pm every Friday and Saturday throughout the summer but to launch, this week, we will be offering a discounted cocktail menu with 2 cocktails for £12.  We are also retaining the deep discount on our newest wine offering the Combe Pilat Esteban Sparkling Viognier – delicious, delicate, citrus-scented organic bubbles from Chapoutier.  Good value at its full price, this is even tastier at the introductory price of £6 per glass and £35 per bottle.

Advance warning that tickets are selling fast for our next Supper Club – Grisher Bhuribhoj – A Bengali Feast to welcome the Summer on Saturday 1st June.  Hosted by Rishna of Tikka and Tardka, this promises to be an evening of great food and conversation.  It will, we hope be the first of many such collaborations with Rishna.  Full menu information and tickets are available by clicking here.

Great seafood again this week with the highlights being some fantastic Cornish Cock Crabs and Large Oven Roast Plaice.  Both dishes should be available throughout the weekend for lunch on Fri-Monday and for dinner tomorrow and Saturday.
